Climbing up Wall Street,
Fighting up your street,
They’re winding up on war street,
They’re trying but the walls keep crumbling down.
They’re balling up Wall Street,
They’re warring on Wall Street,
They’re borin’ up on your street,
They’re falling but they can’t keep all of us down.
Balling up on Wall Street,
They’re warring on Wall Street,
They’re borin’ up on your street,
They’re falling but they can’t keep all of us down.
While we pray for more peace,
They’re still bombing in the north east,
You can read it in the broadsheet,
They’re even warring up on Wall Street.
While we pray for more peace,
While we pray for more peace,
They’re still bombing in the north east,
They’re still bombing in the north east,
You can read it in the broadsheet,
You can read it in the broadsheet,
They’re even warring up on Wall Street.
They’re even warring up on Wall Street.
Climbing up Wall Street,
Fighting up your street,
They’re winding up on war street,
They’re trying but the walls keep tuumbling down.
They’re balling up Wall Street,
They’re warring on Wall Street,
They’re borin’ up on your street,
They’re falling but they can’t keep all of us down.
They’re winding up on war street,
They’re trying but the walls keep tumbling down.
They’re balling up Wall Street,
They’re warring on Wall Street,
They’re borin’ up on your street,
They’re falling but they can’t keep all of us down.

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
